Magyar Missions
Prayer requests for the people in Hungary . . . For all those (here in Borsod-Abaúj-Zemplén County) who lost their homes in the recent devastating floods/hurricane.
For all those who live on the street, whether through their own fault or not.
For an end to the economic crisis, or rather for a recovery, so that everyone who wants to work can find a job.
For the sick who are destitute, and for the doctors (working in a broken Hungarian health care system) who must daily face the decision to either turn them away or personally cover their treatment costs.
Bartos Károly in Gyergyószentmiklós, Transylvania Since 2008 parish priest, Bartos Károly (Charles Bartos), lives and works in Gyergyószentmiklós, Transylvania, Romania. In August 2008 a new parish was established in Gyergyó. Károly is responsible for developing the Szent István (St. Stephen) parish. In addition Károly and his colleagues visit families to assess financial and spiritual needs and offer their support.
They are currently building a church and a youth/community center. The community center will host a variety of events and programs for the community. Karoly s main aim is to have programs in place for all in the community including children, teens, adults, and seniors.
The high rate of divorce and the lack of jobs are problems for the community. Károly asks that we pray for them.
