Fall Dates and Class Topics will be announced soon!
Want to learn strategies for genealogical research? Between border changes and language barriers, diving into genealogy can be a huge challenge, but you have to start somewhere! Join Laszlo (Les) Josa each month for the next four months as he focuses on a variety of resources and helps you understand how to find the information you are looking for. Laszlo’s insight will be specific to Hungarian heritage and will include the areas impacted by the Treaty of Trianon in 1920.
Each genealogy class is live and will not be not recorded. Our classes are dependent on a minimum number of students. There is a 100% refund if you cancel 30 days prior class, a 50% refund 15-29 days prior to class and no refund within two weeks of class.
Laszlo has spent 30 years and countless hours researching his ancestors and has discovered quite a few surprises! Born in Balatonalmadi, Veszprem, Hungary in 1944. Left Hungary when he was 7 months old with sister and parents on Good Friday March 30th and ended up in Passau, Germany on Apr 9th and stayed in a refugee camp for a six year period. Then Laszlo, his four siblings, and his parents arrive in the US in Sept of 1951, when he was 7 years old. Laszlo grew up speaking Hungarian and knows his way around the resources!
