Hungarian History and Culture Course
These classes will meet from 1:30-2:00, Eastern time on TUESDAYS for 10 weeks starting on September 14th – November 30th, this factors in a one-week break.
If you are from Alaska or Hawaii or another country, you need to email me your interest and we will send you an invoice to pay.
These classes will meet on Skype and they will not be recorded. The class is limited to 16 students.
Each week, for 30 minutes, Gergely will present on a piece of Hungarian history including notable figures, the architecture, literary works, and fine art of that era, in English. Gergely, one of our Hungarian language teaching partners, is also very knowledgeable about Hungarian history and culture. He often shares great nuggets of information during his language classes. In fact, this class idea came from a student who suggested he create a course about Hungarian history and culture because there is so much to learn! This 10 week course gives students the opportunity to dig a little deeper to strengthen their understanding of how and why some things happened in Hungary’s long and challenging history!
